"The Road Traffic Law was revised, and the penal regulations against mobile phone talks during the driving was tightened up, as it has been the issue. There was the need of hands-free communication market since mobile phone carriers and auto manufacturers had been seeking for the solution." "The opportunity was brought by the customer who recognized our wireless technology. The development started as the collaboration team of software company, Miyoshi for wireless part, led by "the" customer. Strong passion of each member and the team-work should be the key to complete the development of the product, as the specifications were changed several times and development schedule, was also tight." |

"On the other hand, cooperation within the company was also an important factor. Another key to achievement was the unification of each department; manufacturing, engineering, sales and purchasing. For instance, one of the project members carried the material by himself to keep the schedule or building up the manufacturing line to meet the requirements of the carrier. Factory audit of mobile phone carrier is very strict, however one of our foundry companies gave us some know-how because it already was the certified factory. It is really a hard work for the engineers to lead the project, but we can share the information by putting technical side at the center. Engineer' s initiative is important to accelerate the development and acquire customers' trust." "Our next challenge is cost reduction. We aim to make the product smaller, lighter, and cheaper to meet the increasing need from the market." |
